Language

Use Tablyne in English, Portuguese or Spanish.

Tablyne’s interface is fully translated into three languages, and you can switch between them at any time without restarting.

Supported languages

Portuguese (Brazil)Português

SpanishEspañol

The translation covers the whole interface — menus, settings, dialogs, the data grid, tooltips and onboarding.

Switching language

There are three places to change the language, and the change applies in real time — the UI re-renders immediately, no restart needed:

  • Settings → Language — a list of the three languages; the active one is marked with a ✓. See Settings.
  • Appearance menu (top bar) — the languages are listed under a language heading.
  • The welcome tour — step 2 (preferences) lets you pick a language during first-run setup.

Your choice is saved locally and restored on the next launch.

How the default is chosen

On the very first launch — before you’ve made a choice — Tablyne picks a language automatically:

  1. A previously saved choice, if any.
  2. Otherwise, your operating system language: if it starts with en you get English, with es you get Spanish.
  3. Otherwise it falls back to Portuguese.

Once you choose a language explicitly, that choice takes priority over the OS language on future launches.

Fallback behavior

If a particular string is ever missing from the active language, Tablyne falls back to Portuguese for that string, so you’ll never see an empty label or a raw translation key.

Notes and limitations

  • The three languages affect only the interface chrome. Your data, table and attribute names, queries and DynamoDB results are shown verbatim — they aren’t translated.
  • Number, date and currency formatting in the license dialog follows your system locale.
  • There are currently three languages; more may be added in future releases.
