Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tablyne ("we", "us"), the data controller, collects and uses your data when you use the tablyne.com website (the "Site") and the Tablyne desktop application (the "Software"). Questions: privacy@tablyne.com.
Your AWS data stays on your machine
Tablyne is a local-first desktop app. Your AWS credentials and the data in your DynamoDB tables are read and processed entirely on your own device, talking directly to AWS APIs. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party. The Software collects only anonymous, opt-out feature-usage counters (e.g. which panels you open) to guide the roadmap — never your data, tables, queries or credentials — and you can turn it off in Settings → telemetry.
What we collect
- Account & license: your email address, for license delivery, passwordless account access and important product notices.
- Purchases: order and billing information processed by our payment provider (see Payments). We do not receive or store your full card details.
- Marketing sign-ups: if you join the beta/launch list, the email address you provide.
- Website analytics: how the Site is used — pages viewed, referring source, approximate location (derived from IP), and device/browser type. We collect this via Google Analytics and our own first-party beacons.
- Support: the contents of messages you send us.
Cookies, analytics & local storage
The Site uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure aggregate traffic and usage; we enable IP anonymization, so your IP address is truncated before processing. We also use lightweight first-party beacons (page-view and funnel events) to count visits and downloads; these log your IP address transiently for abuse prevention and are stored only in aggregate. Your browser's local storage is used to remember preferences (such as a dismissed banner or theme) — this stays on your device and is not tracking.
We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the Site for this anonymized analytics, rather than asking for prior consent. You can opt out at any time: enable Do Not Track in your browser, block cookies, install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, or use a tracker blocker. The Site honors the absence of analytics where required by law.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes the personal and payment data needed to complete your order (including billing details and applicable tax information) under its own privacy policy. We receive order metadata (such as your email, plan and country) but not your full payment details.
Marketing emails
If you join our list we may email you about the beta, launch and product updates. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by emailing privacy@tablyne.com. Transactional emails (license keys, sign-in links, receipts, account notices) are not marketing and are sent as needed to operate your account.
Service providers
We use a small set of processors to run the service:
- Paddle — payments, billing and tax (Merchant of Record).
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, database and transactional email (SES).
- Google Analytics — aggregate website analytics.
How we use your data
To deliver and manage your license, provide support, send transactional and (with your consent) marketing emails, measure and improve the Site, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we process data to perform our contract with you (license, account, support), on the basis of our legitimate interests (securing and improving the service, anonymized website analytics, preventing abuse), with your consent (marketing email), and to meet legal obligations (tax and accounting, handled with Paddle).
International data transfers
We and our providers operate primarily in the United States, so your data may be processed there and in other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses offered by our providers.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing or withdraw consent. Under the GDPR/UK GDPR, LGPD and CCPA you have these and related rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email privacy@tablyne.com; you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Data retention
We retain account and license records for as long as your license is active and as required for legal and accounting purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Aggregate analytics may be retained without identifying you.
Children
Tablyne is a developer tool not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
