Terms of Service

Last updated: June 17, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tablyne (the "Software"), a desktop GUI client for Amazon DynamoDB, and the tablyne.com website (the "Site"), operated by Tablyne ("we", "us"). By downloading, purchasing, or using the Software you agree to these Terms.

License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software according to the plan you purchase. A seat is one person; each seat may be activated on up to 4 devices (the same on every paid plan), which you may deactivate and reassign at any time. Team plans are licensed per seat. The Free tier is provided at no cost for use against DynamoDB Local and LocalStack.

Lifetime licenses

A Lifetime license is a one-time purchase that includes all updates to the current major version and continues to function indefinitely. Future major versions may be offered as an optional paid upgrade; existing Lifetime holders will receive fair upgrade terms.

Orders, payments and reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles all payment processing, billing, tax collection and remittance, and order-related customer service and returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Prices are shown in USD; applicable VAT/GST/sales tax is calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.

Subscriptions and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. See our Refund Policy for our money-back guarantee.

Acceptable use

You agree not to redistribute, resell, sublicense, or reverse-engineer the Software, or to share license keys beyond your permitted seat and device count. We may suspend or revoke a license used in violation of these Terms or obtained through fraud or chargeback.

Your data

The Software is local-first. Your AWS credentials and the contents of your DynamoDB tables are processed only on your machine and are never transmitted to us. See our Privacy Policy.

Assumption of risk — you are responsible for your data

The Software connects to live infrastructure you control and can read, write, modify, bulk-edit, truncate, and delete data and resources in your Amazon Web Services ("AWS") account. You are solely responsible for the AWS accounts, credentials, tables, and data you operate on, for choosing which operations to run, and for confirming their effects before and after they execute (including via the preview / dry-run features, which are provided for convenience and without guarantee). You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups and for any AWS usage, capacity, throughput, storage, or other charges incurred through your use of the Software. Any operation you perform is at your own risk.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SOFTWARE AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will meet your requirements, or that any defect will be corrected. No advice or information obtained from us creates any warranty not expressly stated here.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE (OR our founders, employees, or suppliers) BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, OR AWS OR OTHER THIRD-PARTY CHARGES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tablyne and its founders, employees, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Software; (b) the data, AWS accounts, and resources you operate on with it; (c) your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right; or (d) any operation you perform through the Software.

Third-party services

The Software interacts with AWS and other services you configure. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, changes, pricing, or acts or omissions of AWS or any third party, and your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
